Residency Verification for Drop In Swims Coming Soon!

Starting January 2nd, 2025, Menlo Swim & Sport will be verifying addresses for the resident and hyperlocal resident discounts.

We will be verifying addresses using our Incorporated Menlo Park address look up for anyone purchasing a resident or hyperlocal drop-in swim beginning Jan 2, 2025.

Here’s how it will work:

If you have an account with us:

Your Incorporated Menlo Park residency has already been verified! When you arrive at the pool, provide your name at the front desk and our front desk can help you purchase a drop in swim.

If you are a Belle Haven hyperlocal resident, please reach out to our front desk staff to verify your hyperlocal residency. You can check the map here

If you don’t already have an account with us:

You can create one here

The system will automatically verify that you are an incorporated Menlo Park Resident.

If you are a Belle Haven hyperlocal resident, please reach out to our front desk staff to verify your hyperlocal residency. You can check the map here

If you’d prefer not to create an account, each time you visit, our Front Desk staff can enter your address to verify residency.

If you want to speed up your visit even more, you can add a credit card to your account, then ask for an account fob at the front desk. When you arrive at the front desk, scan your fob and ask that the front desk charge the credit card on file for your drop-in swim.

Residency Verification FAQs

Q: How does this change my experience at the pool?
A: If you already have a membership with us, you are all set and there are no changes to how you scan in for a swim.

If you are not a member, it might take a little longer to purchase a resident or hyperlocal resident drop-in to allow time for the address verification.

Q: Is there anything I can do to speed up the process?
A: Yes! You can set up an account in our system so our front desk staff will just need to look up your account by name to verify your residency status without us looking up your address each time. You can also add a credit to your account and receive a scan-in card to speed up the process even more!

Q: Does it cost anything to make an account?
A: It does not cost anything to set up an account.

Q: I don’t want to create an account. What should I do?
A: No problem at all. Please be prepared for us to look up your address each time you visit the pool. You might want to allow additional time (especially during our busy summer months) as resident verification  will add a little time at the front desk for each drop-in visitor.

Q: What if I’m not a resident of incorporated Menlo Park? Do I still need an account?
A: No, you would not need an account. We would still like for you to create an account; however, your address does not need to be verified so you could just pay our non-resident fee each time you visit without a delay.

Q: If I sign up for an account, does that mean I’m going to start getting marketing emails from you?
A: No, we do not add you to any of our communication email lists after creating an account. If you register for memberships or events, you will be included on relevant closure or notification emails. You can unsubscribe at any time if you no longer wish to receive email communications from us, but we hope you don’t so we can keep you as informed as possible!

Q: Why is this process changing?
A: We are aiming to better match our residency verification process with that of the City of Menlo Park.
