About Junior ATR Camp

Building on the success of last year’s Junior All Terrain Runners, we are pleased to introduce the NEW & Improved Camp-Junior ATR Obstacle course program. Through a fun, competitive and non-competitive, curriculum-based program, kids will work on all aspects of movement using confidence (obstacle) courses, speed & agility, core, strength work, and running. Flip a tractor tire, scale a wall, crawl with resistance, sprint over tires, monkey bars, pounce over a barrier, swim-a-lap & perform a pull up and many more crazy, but fun feats with ease.

Designed to inspire an appreciation for fitness and build good habits that will last a lifetime, the program will focus on structured physical movement with the goal of giving campers a unique and inspiring experience while cultivating skills for a lifetime of physical fitness and sports safety, health, and enjoyment in a fun summer camp atmosphere. Ages 7-14 years old.

$370 per week: 5-day camps (Mon–Fri)

Sibling discount: Receive a 10% sibling discount off for each additional sibling registering for Camp Menlo. Discount based on the highest priced camp.

2019 Summer Obstacle Course Camp
Menlo Swim & Sport will be running a summer Obstacle Course Camp for 6 weeks. Kids can expect rigorous training and  ultimate obstacles such as: flipping a tractor tire, scaling a wall, crawling with resistance, sprinting over tires, monkey bars, pouncing over a barrier, swimming-a-lap & performing a pull up and many more crazy, but fun feats with ease.

Age 7–14 Camp: 8:45am – 2:00pm

Camp Menlo Morning Extended Camp (ages 4.5-12 years)
We are pleased to offer early Extended Camp from 8:00 to 8:45 a.m., so you can drop off your kids and be on your way! You can be sure that check-in will be fast and your child will receive great care for a happy start to the day!
8:00 – 8:45 a.m. – $44/week
Registration will open February 4th!

Camp Menlo Afternoon Extended Camp (ages 4.5-12 years)
Extended Camp Menlo is just the ticket for your child to rest and re-energize, play social games, read, advance some new skills or listen to music! Tried and true, our Menlo Swim and Sport counselors provide a safe and lively afternoon of new and varied activities, full of opportunities for the campers to mix and mingle or have some quiet time; build and create; or have fun with more sports! The kids won’t miss a beat, as they seamlessly transition to the afternoon segment of their day of excitement.
2:00 – 5:00 p.m. – $182 per week
Registration will open February 4th!

8:45am: Camper Check in 
(Jr-ATR kids should be dressed for 1st run of the day with sunscreen, sun hat, refillable water bottle)
9:00am: Camp Menlo Meeting 1st run – longer run
9:45am: Focus : WOD(work of the Day)
10:30am: Snack & Hydration
10:45am: Competitive / Fun Time
12:15pm: Lunch
1:00pm: 2nd run – shorter run
1:30pm: Free Swim
2:00pm: Pick up or Extended care.

Activities will include:
Athletic conditioning including 2-daily runs
Strength & agility work
Speed & endurance
Core exercises
Basic nutrition
Free swim and fun activities.

Coaches / Instructors


Semisi Siu
Semisi is passionate about fitness and nutrition, and feels that they should be implemented as a lifestyle as opposed to it being a chore. He has been involved in athletics and fitness since he was a pre-teen, growing up in Aotearoa (New Zealand), participating in sports like Rugby, Aussie Rules, Cricket, Grass Hockey and Track & Field.

Semisi is native to the South Pacific Islands of Tonga, but grew up in Auckland, New Zealand and moved to California in 1995. In 2001 Semisi earned NASM, ACE & Apex nutrition certifications and worked as a Trainer Fit Pro for 24 hour Fitness in Scottsdale & Phoenix, Arizona. He returned to Menlo Park in 2008, and joined Menlo Swim and Sport as a Menlo Swim School Instructor, Camp Menlo Lead Counselor and Fitness Coach for Menlo Fit Boot Camp, which he truly enjoys – from helping, teaching, and coaching community members, to practicing what he preaches by taking the Wednesday morning 6am “Tabata” class. Semisi is also very proud of his Sunday Trail Runners group and welcomes any running levels – “the most challenging part is showing up!”
Semisi’s personality, passion, focus, professionalism and high octane energy will get you motivated, inspired, dancing, laughing, sweating & hungry for another tough, but fun filled class.

Camp Menlo Cancellation Policy
Cancellation up to one month from the date of camp…Full Refund
Cancellation between 4-2 weeks before the date of camp… Full Credit to Account
Cancellation within two weeks before the date of camp…No credit, No refund

After registration, you may switch to another camp ONE time only.  Switching to another camp is prohibited up to 30 days before the camps date (this may vary depending on registration numbers of desired week).

Conduct and Safety
The camp is directed by a year-round professional staff who focus on quality, safety, enjoyment, efficiency, and value. The head coach is an experienced aquatics instructor/coach with a skill emphasis on childhood development. The head coach is assisted by counselors with experience in promoting safe and fun activities. The well-being of each camper is our primary concern. Campers are under constant supervision by the camp director, head coach, or counselors.
