Camp Menlo Tennis

Menlo Swim and Sport offers Tennis Camps for Kids 7-14

Camp Menlo Tennis offers daily tennis lessons with experienced Kim Grant Tennis Academy instructors to help provide a foundation for a unique day camp experience. Campers enjoy additional exercises for strength, conditioning, agility and control – especially designed to enhance tennis development.

Tennis is a game that your child will enjoy for a lifetime! Whether just learning to play or looking to take tennis to the next level, at the Camp Menlo Tennis program, your child will master new skills and develop greater confidence on and off the court. Our experienced tennis instructors teach to the appropriate level to help campers achieve greater control and understanding of the game. Each child’s tennis level is assessed on the first day of camp, and campers with similar abilities are grouped together as needed. Under-10 campers will develop tennis skills based on the USTA 10 and Under Program. Older campers will join our Junior Tennis group for age and level-appropriate skills and drills. A daily focus on different aspects of the game through our curriculum, will lead to rapid advancement of your child’s ability. Friday’s the campers will get to participate in free swim for one hour as well! Your child should come home healthy-tired and inspired!

FAQ

Q: My child needs to be accompanied by an adult aide. Can they attend Camp?
A: Yes, absolutely! We would love to have your child join us. Please email our customer service team as soon as possible with the aide’s name to start the clearance process.

The aide will complete a LiveScan background check and we need to receive the clearance prior to the first day of camp. Aides accompanying campers must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19.

Q: Can my child check themselves in and out of Camp?
A: Campers 12 years of age and older or campers that have siblings in camp 12 years of age or older may check themselves in and out of camp with your authorization. This authorization is given in the questionnaire section of the camp registration process. A parent must be present for check-in on the first day of camp.

Q: I was added to the waitlist for Camp. What happens Now?
A: If a spot opens up in your desired camp, you will receive an automatic email from our registration system (communications@perfectmind.com) asking you to confirm or decline the spot. You have 24 hours to respond. After that time, you will be removed from the waitlist.

Q: Do you have any all-day camps?
A: We are currently running morning and afternoon half day camps. However, you are welcome to sign your child up for both the morning and afternoon session during the same week. We will provide supervision for the 30-minute break between sessions. You’ll just want to make sure to send your camper with a nutritious lunch.

Q: I’m not able to register for camps using my account from last year. Can you help?
A: Yes! We have a new registration system this year so you will need to create a new account in our PerfectMind system by going to https://teamsheeper.perfectmind.com and clicking on Signup next to Create an Account.

You can also watch our how-to video here: https://menloswim.com/perfect-mind-an-introduction/#tutorials

KidCheck FAQ

Q: Does my spouse/partner or other guardians need to create a KidCheck account too?
A: Yes, but do not have them add the child onto their account. Once your spouse/partner or other guardians create their KidCheck account you should add them onto your account (the account with the child) as a Guardian.

Q: Why can’t my spouse/partner or other guardians just add the child onto their account?
A: Since KidCheck doesn’t collect personal information like the child’s social security number, your direct relation to the child, or other guardian’s direct relation to the child, or to you, the system won’t recognize the child on separate accounts as being the same child.

Q: The parent of another child and I will be taking turns dropping off or picking up our kids. How do we set this up in KidCheck?
A: First you both will create your separate KidCheck accounts and add only your own child onto your accounts. Then you will add them as a guardian on your account, and they will add you as a guardian onto their account.

Q: I’ve added my child and they are listed in the “Kids” tab but it says “You have not been authorized for any children”. Why is that?
A: Under the “Kids” tab there are two sections. The first section is “My Kids”. Under this section any child you add to your account will show and since they are your kids you automatically have authorization for them. The second section is “Kids I’m Authorized For”. This section will show the kids of other parents that have added you as an authorized guardian for their kids. If you are planning on picking up or dropping off kids other than your own and do not see their names listed under the “Kids I’m Authorized For” section, you need to contact their parent and ask them to add you as an authorized guardian for their child.
