Top 5 Triathlon Websites

Triathlon is a sport that seems simple on the surface, you swim, ride your bike, and run. But once you start participating, there are myriads of questions. What sort of wetsuit do I need, how can I get faster in my transitions, how can I get faster on my bike, how often should I be training, etc. In addition to speaking to a coach or other experienced athletes, there are a lot of triathlon websites that offer a load of information that can answer many of these types of questions.

Here are 5 of the most useful ones:

Triathlete – This site offers lots of training and racing tips as well as information on the latest gear and tech.

TriFuel – An informative site that includes training plans, training and racing tips, and links to a variety of blogs.

SlowTwitch – This is primarily a site driven by triathletes themselves and often contains threads that may not be very helpful. But it can provide a lot of useful information on training and racing and the latest happenings in the triathlon world. The site also includes lots of interviews with pro’s and up and coming triathletes, as well as gear reviews.

DC Rainmaker – Undoubtedly the best site around for intensive reviews of all products that have been or are about to be released. The ownerof this site is a triathlete / engineer who has filled a niche in providing easy to understand information about how to choose and use the latest gear.

Jess Smith  – Website and blog for professional triathlete Jess Smith, a recent transplant to the Bay Area and a finisher in more than a dozen Ironman triathlons. Jess blogs about the ins and outs of triathlon including race reports, diet, and lifestyle balance. We are also thrilled she is part of the Team Sheeper Triathlon Team!
