Tennis is a dynamic, life-long activity, perfect for sunny California. Whether you are new to the sport, or returning after several years away, our Tennis Pro Gil Hernandez is on hand to help ease the transition back to the courts.
New players will benefit from personalized instruction, including groundstroke development, serving stance and rules of the game. Intermediate and advanced players can chose to focus on a specific part of their game, or work on overall play including volleys and lobs, power serves and stroke placement. Gil works with each individual to develop a personal training plan to achieve immediate and long-term goals.
Tennis Pro – Private/Semi-private
All players from beginning to advanced levels will benefit from personalized instruction from coach Gil Hernandez. During 1-hour coaching sessions, Gil provides training and feedback that assists players to reach their goals, including technique development, balance and movement, returning from injury and match preparation.
Tennis Hitting Partner
For players looking to get in a solid hour of practice, Gil will be your tennis hitting partner, providing the opportunity to improve technique, consistency and endurance on the court.

Meet the Pro
Gil Hernandez, Menlo Tennis Academy instructor, has been playing tennis most of his life and has been teaching and coaching private and group tennis lessons in the Bay Area for the last six years. Gil teaches using the USTA skills development for young athletes and when on the court, Gil gives 100% of his energy and enthusiasm to the students. With a playful attitude, Gil keeps tennis players moving constantly, while having fun. Working with Gil, athletes of all ages learn not only to play with skill, but with an attitude of “I can!!”
